Our Statement of Faith
A house is only as good as its foundation, and the statement of faith is a ministry's foundation. Proper focus on God's Word shows who we really are.
Paul makes it perfectly clear in the book of Galatians that true doctrine is a requirement for the Christian. Anything else brings a curse (Galatians 1:8,9.)
So without further ado, here is our statement of faith.
...that the Bible is God's Word. He breathed His very words into the minds of mere men (I Timothy 3:16) who wrote His words, not their own, as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit (II Peter 1:20,21.)
Through the Bible man finds salvation. It contains the Only way to Heaven, through Jesus, the Messiah, Savior of the world (John 3:16.)
Everything we need for life and Godliness is found in Scripture (II Peter 1:3.) The Bible is God's love letter, marching orders and rule book all rolled into one. The Christian should live by it and no other. (II Timothy 3:15.)
...that our living God is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), but He exists as three Persons (Matthew 3:16,17.) Although it is difficult for human minds to grasp God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are three distinct persons working in perfect harmony with one another (John 10:30) but still exist as only one God (I Corinthians 8:6.)
...that all human beings have sinned against God (Romans 3:23), are totally corrupt (Romans 3:10), cannot gain their own salvation (Galatians 1:1-6:18) and are bound for an eternity in Hell (John 3:18.) God created man to glorify Him (Genesis 1:1-31), but man made his choice in the Garden of Eden to rebel against God (Genesis 3:1-24) and has been doing it ever since (Psalm 14:3.)
...that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. Faith in Christ is found in repentance (Acts 26:19-20) and identification in Him (II Timothy 1:8.)
Salvation costs us nothing but cost God His only begotten Son (John 3:16.) We do not need to work for it. Christ has paid the debt. We only need to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We get true salvation this way...
grace + faith in Jesus + nothing = salvation (Ephesians 2:8.)
...that true believers are "overcomers" (Revelation 2:11) The mark of Christian is that he continues in the faith. The unfaithful phony follower will fall away (I John 2:19.)
...that one day we who believe in Christ will spend an eternity with God in Heaven (John 14:2.) Those who refuse to acknowledge Christ as Savior will spend all of eternity in Hell (II Peter 2:9; I John 4:17.)
Our statement of faith shows only a small amount of what we believe. We cannot include every doctrine we hold to or we would have to devote an entire website just to our doctrinal statement!
